Description
Tales of terror is based on three stories from the works of Edgar Allan Poe. In Morella, a dying young woman tries to reconcile with her father, who has always blamed her for her mother's death during childbirth. In The black cat, a man discovers his wife's affair and takes steps to remove his rival, only to have his wife's black cat reveal his evil deed. And in The facts in the case of M. Valdemar, the dying M. Valdemar employs a hypnotist to put him in a trance to spare him the pain of dying. Instead, M. Valdemar winds up stuck between the world of the living and the dead, and under the control of the hypnotist.
Description
Twice-told tales is based on three stories from Twice told tales by Nathaniel Hawthorne. In Dr. Heidegger's experiment, the doctor attempts to restore youth to three of his elderly friends. In Rappaccini's daughter, a demented father inoculates his daughter with poison so that she may never leave her garden of poisonous plants. And in House of the Seven Gables, the Pyncheon family suffers from a hundred year old curse.
