Description
The story of World War II from the American and the German perspectives. The German officer Christian Diestl (Brando) approves less and less of the war. Jewish-American Noah Ackerman (Clift) deals with antisemitism at home and in the army while entertainer Michael Whiteacre (Martin) transforms from playboy to hero.
